Angela Schubert, PhD, LPC, NCC, CCMHC, is an assistant professor and clinical counseling director of online learning at Central Methodist University. She earned both a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision and a M. Ed. in Counseling from University of Missouri - St. Louis. Schubert’s academic training focused primarily on counseling supervision in the university setting and aging sexual expression. She is a state recognized supervisor in Missouri and has spent the past seven years coordinating supervision and field placements for graduate students at Central Methodist University. Her research interests focus on counseling supervision and intersectionality in relation to gender, age, and sexuality through a relational cultural theoretical lens. She is the president and one of the co-founders of the Association of Counselor Sexology and Sexual Wellness and is on the editorial board of the Journal of Counseling Sexology and Sexual Wellness: Research, Practice, and Education. She makes time to enjoy the best in life: family, community, and Mother Nature.
Gina Martin, MA, LPC, NCC is a mental health counseling graduate from Northwestern University who is currently working towards her doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision. Her primary clinical experience is with children and adolescents who have suffered traumatic events. She has done some research on Supervision and Trauma, and holds many research interests around these topics as well. She has conducted University Supervision, and enjoys mentoring students as well as teaching as an adjunct. In her free time she loves spending time with her husband and their new baby girl, as well as their two dogs.
