Dr. Bret Hendricks is a Professor of Counselor Education at Texas Tech University.Bret wants counseling ethics to be fun and friendly and not scary. As a counseling professor and ethics researcher with more than 20 years of experience, he’s spoken at national and international conferences and published numerous journal articles about ethics. Currently, he serves as the ethics section editor for the acclaimed Family Journal, the scholarly journal of the International Association of Marriage and Family Counselors and served twice as the primary contributor to the International Association of Marriage and Family Counselors Ethics Code.
When he’s not working, Bret concentrates on wellness by watching 60’s sit-coms, snuggling with his four hounds, avoiding the news, and staring into space.

Cyndi Doyle is a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor and National Certified Counselor, and Certified Daring Way™ Facilitator. She obtained a Master's Degree in Counseling from the University of North Texas in 1995 and her L. P. C. in 1998. She started working in private practice in 2008, after working for a non-profit for 15 years, and co-founded Pecan Branch Counseling in 2010. She is actively involved in Texas Counseling Association as well as a member of American Counseling Association, and many other organizations both on the state and national level.
